Are you interested in exploring the challenges and opportunities of collecting video game heritage in the UK?

National Museums Scotland, National Library of Scotland, National Videogame Museum and Ukie (The Association for UK Interactive Entertainment) are co-hosting a free conference in Edinburgh to develop a roadmap for collecting video game culture across the UK.

With speakers from the heritage and video games sectors and academic researchers, we will explore:

  • How we collect video games

  • Who we collect for

  • How we make them accessible and engaging to a wide range of audiences.

Sector leading speakers will address themes including:

  • Collecting strategies for video game heritage

  • Copyright and IPR

  • Preservation, both analogue and digital

  • Access, interpretation and community participation.
