We are thrilled to announce the upcoming conference, “Inhabiting the Museum: Voices of Change, Co-Creation, and Active Cultural Citizenship.” This event will bring together cultural policymakers, museum professionals, education specialists, and European representatives at the González Martí National Museum of Ceramics and Sumptuary Arts in Valencia. Together, we will reflect on the evolving role of museums as vital spaces for citizenship, inclusion, and active cultural participation.

About the Event

By showcasing real-world pilot experiences developed in museums across Spain and Latvia alongside children and youth from diverse and vulnerable backgrounds, the project introduces innovative methodologies. These co-creation and cultural participation frameworks are built on a foundation of human rights, educational innovation, and democratic access to culture.

The day’s agenda will focus on sharing actionable insights and fostering European dialogue:

  • TOWCHED Toolkit & Pilots: An exclusive presentation of the co-creation methodologies, toolkits, and pilot programs developed throughout the project.

  • Open Panel Discussion: An interactive conversation exploring the intersections of museums, cultural rights, and childhood, featuring institutional representatives and European experts.

Location: Ballroom (Salón de Baile), First Floor, National Museum of Ceramics and Sumptuary Arts “González Martí”, Valencia, Spain.
