The next edition of the UNIVERSEUM annual meeting will be held between 4-7 July 2023 in Wroclaw, Poland, on "The Experience of Academic Heritage".
The conference will explore how ICOM's new definition of museums of 2022 resonates with museum practices and how audiences are experiencing academic heritage. What directions should the interpretation and experience of university collections take? What are the opportunities and obstacles in realising the full potential of university collections, museums, and institutions? The conference will also explore three sub-themes of "By whom and for whom?", "Experiencing difficult heritage", and "Media and methods of interpretation".
