Organized by the Directorate General of Media and Cultural Industries (DGMIC), in collaboration with the General Secretariat (SG) and the Directorates General of the Ministry of Culture, the 6th Entrepreneurship in Culture Forum will take place on the Internet from 19 to 23 October 2020 (session times in Central European Summer Time).
Echoing the surge of activity in France and Europe in the field of creative economy, the Forum Entreprendre dans la Culture aims to bring a spotlight to the innovative projects carried out by our cultural entrepreneurs. An opportunity for the general public to discover, through these initiatives of a new kind, the uses and services that make cultural entrepreneurship a laboratory of tomorrow’s businesses. Facilitated by testimonies of cultural entrepreneurs and experts, the Forum Entreprendre dans la Culture offers nearly 70 round tables and cross-cutting workshops and a Forum Space made available to entrepreneurs and partners of the event.
This year’s Entrepreneurship in Culture Forum will feature a series of digital workshops on the French platform Livestorm and a programme of roundtables organised at the National Dance Centre, which will be accessible digitally on the site CultureLink. Roundtables will address topics such as the rise of third place placement, employer cultural associations, cultural entrepreneurship in rural areas, governmental policies and approach to cultural sites in light of COVID-19, gender equality in the cultural workplace, digital experiences, and copyright.
