The 2019 edition of the annual conference Grantmakers in the Arts will focus on the theme of "Cultural Intersections".
Grantmakers in the Arts is the only national association of both public and private arts and culture funders in the U.S. The conference is the largest convening of arts funders and will explore Dr. Kimberlé Crenshaw's concept of intersectionality – exploring the impact of overlaps between identities such as between race, gender, sexuality, disability, and others such as discussions of the #MeToo, Black Lives Matter, Just Transition movements and how they manifest in the field of arts and cultural funding.
